Soap Dispensers – how do you select the right one for your business?
There are numerous to choose from, and a few things you need to consider when selecting the right unit for you.
How is the soap dispensed?
Are you looking for an automatic dispenser sometimes referred to as “no touch”, these are sensor operated, and reduce the risk of cross- contamination? Or will a manual operated soap dispenser meet your needs? These dispense the soap by pressing a button or pushing the front of the soap dispenser.
What type of soap do you want to be dispensed?
There are 3 basic types, liquid soap, spray soap or foam soap. It’s important to select the right dispenser for the type of soap results you require.
How do you refill the soap dispenser?
Bulk fill soap dispensers have a reservoir inside that you can pour soap into, you buy the soap usually in 5 litre containers and then top the bulk fill reservoir up as you go. Or you can adopt a cartridge system where the refills come in individual pouches, usually sold in packs of 4 or 6.
What size?
All of our soap dispensers display the dimensions of the actual unit in the product description, so if space is an issue, you can make sure that there is adequate room prior to purchase on your washroom wall to install them. The typical capacity of a soap dispenser is 1 litre.
Finish and material
When choosing the finish of your soap dispenser, you may want to consider what other equipment or fittings you have in the washroom already.
